    sticky notes colors

Does anyone know if its possible to change the default colors for notes in the Stickies app? I poked around in the app's contents but I don't know what the hell I am doing. I couldn't find anything in any of the files that referred to colors. Perhaps I am the only one deranged enough to care...

Powerbook G4 crash - need help

If your not already running it, you could try upgrading to OS 10.2 and then performing a clean install. This is the archive and install option. This will install a new system without requiring you to reinitializing your hard drive. All of your files and setting will be saved.

    Virtual PC on osX

I have virtualPC installed on my Pismo 400/10.2 with 384MB RAM. I have tried all of the windows versions except win95 and so far Windows2000 is the best. XP was SOOOO slow it was not even usable. Me and 98 didn't run very well either. YMMV.

    trouble using man

Since upgrading to 10.2 I get an error when trying to search for a man page. The message I get looks like this: Welcome to Darwin! 5:12pm sauron ~ % man perl /usr/bin/man: illegal option -- C man, version 1.1 usage: man [-adfhktw] [section] [-M path] [-P pager] [-S list]...

    Jaguar: Lid closed operation?

I have a 2.5 year old pismo 400 that I use everyday for 8 hours + with the lid closed and my LCD is fine. I was running 9.2.2 and since OS X.1.5 was released that has become my main OS (operating the computer with the lid closed didn't seem to work until 10.1.5). Under 9.2.2 I would check the...

    10.1.5 works with clamshell closed

I think the sleep problem was related to using Cee Pee You. I removed the program and all is fine.

    10.1.5 works with clamshell closed

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but it seems that 10.1.5 supports operation with the clamshell closed...at least on my pismo. I also have more external monitor resolutions to pick from. Unfortunately, I have lost the ability to sleep as my screen dims but the drive doesn't power down.

    remote X session

I am trying to use a remote X windows session on my mac without much success. I have a program installed on my linux computer which is connected to our LAN. I can setenv DISPLAY my.ip.number:0.0 and then telnet to the linux computer and run the program using my SGI. I have installed XF4.1 on my...

    MacOS X 10.0.1 - still no sleep???

Thanks for the replies. I decided that since this appears to be a problem with my machine and I tired everything (screen dimmed as dark as possible, energy saver settings to 5 min for HD and screen) I would erase my MacOS X partition and try again. When I installed the first time I installed...

    MacOS X 10.0.1 - still no sleep???

(I think I should have used a different subject) :) My pismo does the same thing (goes to sleep and wakes instantly) but I do not get that kind of battery life. I get 2 hours of use tops. I tried playing with all of the settings and it is still the same. I think that the computer is going to...

    MacOS X 10.0.1 - still no sleep???

I just got done playing around with the update and there still doesn't seem to be power management under macosX. How can this be? I can't understand how apple can release what they call a final version without allowing powerbook users to use the operating system when they are on the road. I get...

    mounting linux partitions

After breaking my linuxppc setup again (by foolishly upgrading to Linuxppc's halloween upgrade) I have decided to call it quits (for a while) and hope MacOS X can do what I need. So with that I would like to know if it is possible to mount the linux partitions under OS X to reformat them and get...
