Can't connect to my wireless router

I don't know what the issue might be. But the best thing I can suggest to get back on the network is to unplug the power from the router for about 10 seconds and plug it back it. I used to have a D-Link that needed this kind of attention regularly.

Troubleshoot: Burning 2 movies to 1 DVD using Toast

Hi all! I'm trying to put 2 full movie files (MP4's, total running time just under 4 hours) onto 1 DVD player-friendly DVD using Toast 7 Titanium. I thought the handy "Fit-to-DVD video compression" option would make this easy, but no luck. Note: Still running Tiger. Steps I took: (1)...

    audio recording software?

You could do it in iMovie and then export the file without video (using expert settings). The .mov file will play in iTunes and QT and you can convert in iTunes to MP3 or AAC.

Question about WD My Book external hard drives

I don't think so. But you can connect the MyBook to your iMac, and then start-up your MacMini (while pressing and holding down 't' on the keyboard) and the MacMini will mount to you iMac as a hard drive.

Mac OS X CD not appearing on the desktop

Try using the Apple Hardware Test CD that came with your computer. If that doesn't work, and no discs do, you'll probably have to have it repaired. But this may be covered by the 1 year manufacturers warranty.

"Apple + R" will refresh the Widget. But it sounds like the server/place that updates the widget isn't working. Meaning, no updates are being sent out.

    safari help

Maybe try Resetting Safari? Go to Safari > Reset Safari. I'm not sure if you can lose bookmarks doing this, so export your bookmarks in advance.

How can I sync two computers iTunes so that they play in perfect sync?

Use her iTunes music sharing and a really good ear to sync it. I used to do this at work when the radio would play songs I had on my computer. Fun times.

    Garageband/Logic - input choice

I would invest in the audio interface and RAM if necessary for your Mac. If you have more details about what your needs are (recording wise) and what equipment you have we might be able to give more help. Basically, I would skip the middleman and go live to computer.

    Garageband file converter

If I'm correct, Garageband will export to iTunes, but the file will be created in your Music > iTunes Music folder (under your name or perhaps Unknown Artist). So from there you can launch the file in Quicktime. Just select the file and do a "control + click" and select "open with...

    applework locked file

Is there a little grey lock on the file? If so, have you tried selecting the file in the Finder and doing "apple + i" or "get info". There is a check box in the window that it opens that allows you to lock and unlock files. There may also be a permissions issue, which can be fixed in the same...

    Delete user acct.

I think you can boot from the OS X disc and reinstalling will eliminate all accounts (not sure what you might stand to lose by doing that, but I'm even if you don't reinstal OS X, I think booting from the disc can give you a way to override the master password). Worth a go...
