    You missed that LordCoven is running 10.2 while you're screenshot is from 10.3. System Profiler in 10.2 was pretty bunky at best.

    smb:// is for connecting to Windows computers. afp:// is for connecting to other macs. In System Preferences > Sharing do you have personal file sharing turned on on the host computer?

    The ~ signifies that its the library at the user level, not the root level, i.e. go to Home > Library > Caches and you should see the mentioned file.

    ~/Library/Mail/mailaccountname/ in their is your INBOX.mbox However, if you have new mail in Panther you are probably better off going Mail > File > Import Mailboxes ... and importing from your 10.2 backup.

    How can I install Panther on ibook with broken CD drive?

    Basically if you have a firewire cable you can connect your iBook to your G4 using that and then startup in Target Disk Mode (I think from memory its apple-T at startup) then Insert your Install CD into your G4 and then select your iBook's hard drive and install.

    Locking iTunes Open

    Can youu just unplug the mouse and keyboard once you've got iTunes running? I've never tried this myself but don't see why it wouldn't work. When you want to change albums or whatever just plug the keyboard and mouse back in.

    The last date you (or the system) wrote to that file.
