Maybe there is a new feature on the horizon that will let iTunes download music videos into the iPod? That would a worthy function for a color screen on an iPod. Otherwise, if it's the samo-samo interface and purpose, then the screen will be a waste of battery power.

Stick with GraphicsConverter. Shareware fee is definitely not "painfully expensive" when compared to say Photoshop and Corel made stuff that sells in the hundreds of dollars.

Dazzle has a converter box that cost less than the Formac version. I have never used either, so I cannot attest to anyone of their performance.

Yup they are loud pupsters compared to other desktop/mini tower computers. But's not too bad. I rather have the loud fan and know that it;s properly cooled than to suffer from overheating. Then again, all my macs have always been louder than my PCs in the fan category.

Thx for the feedback on the monitor. I prefer CRT's color rendition and overall smoothness in gradation rendering. I work with alot of digital imagery, both photo and video, and always gravitate towards the CRT's display qualities.
