    Run 10.1.3 on a 233mhz 7500!

A friend of mine online runs Mac OS X 10.1.3 on his 7500/233 with a 604e processor instead of OS 9. Here's what he's said about the upgrade, and one impressive screen shot: "Don't let Apple tell you that you have to buy a "state-of-the-art" PowerMac in order to run OS X. Just for sh*ts and...

Diablo II brings upon the end of the world!

We ran into this problem a long time ago in Diablo II and an update from Blizzard was what made it fix, but the Diablo II for OS X does this quite a lot - the world ends! Is everyone ok?

Typing along, and suddenly text is gone, can't undo

Sometimes when I'm typing text, I'll suddenly hit a key combination (accidently) that deletes a bunch of text. Using the undo command won't bring it back. I've noticed this in BBEdit, and multipled undos will not bring the text back, it's gone even from the history. This isn't a BBEdit issue...

I caught versiontracker at just the right time

Remember the ups and downs versiontracker was having last weekend? Well being the addict I am, I was checking it every few minutes to see if it was up. I caught this screen shot. One minute later it was gone.

And the web slowly degrades. Welcome to the anti-pop-up pop-up.

I use Omniweb with automatic pop-up windows disabled. We also run a pop-up ad killer on the PC. But now, the spammers of the web have decided to strike back with the anti-pop-up pop-up. Visit: http://daoc.warcry.com with a pop-up killer on - and you get... a pop-up! This one tells you to...

Read this article: http://www.reviewboard.com/Section/Notebooks/powerbookg4 and tell me if you think this guy is serious. It HAS to be a joke. Everything in there is so misinformed. A couple of quotes: "Their new OS which they call OS X is based on Linux" most linux folks know the...

When I download mp3's through Omniweb, it automatically launches iTunes, maximizes the window and plays the mp3. I don't want this to happen! How can I prevent it? I've checked the prefs of both applications. I couldn't find a setting to change this.

    Custom sounds in ICQ

I've got a friend using ICQ under OS 9. I run it under X or I could test this out myself and try to fix her problem. She wants to change the custom sounds. In previous versions, she added them into the finder and selected them in her ICQ prefs. In the newest version, this won't work. Does any...

Omniweb follows links with a scroll wheel

Omniweb often follows a link when I don't want it to. When a web page has a link highlighted, normally because I've clicked through to that link, then hit "Back" and Omniweb still keeps that link rectangle around it, if I use my scroll wheel to move down on that page, it will follow the link...

Why I bought a gamecube and not an xbox

I've owned a Nintedo Gamecube for 2 weeks now. I hadn't planned to buy one at all. I've owned a Playstation 2 since the release of it last year, and I figured it would play all the latest games, I didn't need a new system. I've been reading and watching everything about the gamecube and the xbox...
