The menu is really handy if you have 2 internal drives. The eject button opens the primary only. I realize that option eject will open the second drive. Sometimes I just like to use the menu.
If your machines have firewire I would recommend Carbon Copy Cloner and Net Restore to image your systems. Make one base image and clone it to all systems. I did 64 machines in 1 day this way.

Please clarify. You need to have an administrator account so that you can install updates. That account can be your user ID. You can have it auto login as your ID. The password is so that updates are not installed with out an administrators permissions.

Many models of Sony DVD players will not read CD-R or CD-RW media. My original sony DVD player did not. Give us your model number of your Sony and I will get you a list of what media it will accept.
The easiest fix is to click on the sites folder and get properties. The under Ownership and Permissions make sure that everyone has read access and copy the privileges to all enclosed items. This will ensure that everyone can view it.
Does that picture of the woman exist anywhere on your laptop? It also looks like letters may be under the face, but I can't tell from the image. Are there letters? You may have a virus or this could be a symptom of hacking the boot screen.
I am currently in the process of replacing most of our windows based webservers with Xserves running 10.2 server. They out perform thw windows servers hands down. I am able to do everything I could with the windows servers plus more on the macs, and it is easier. Licences is another BIG issue...
