I have these entry-level speakers sitting around and I thought it would be a good addition for my iMac. They worked with my 12" PowerBook G4's audio output but it doesn't seem to work with my iMac. I've seen these optical audio outputs before. Sorry if it's such an audiophile noob question...

I recently read this additional info page that Apple put up. Interesting read. http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html I find myself to be using my PowerBook on my desk all the time. If I were to take out the battery, is there a cover that I can purchase to fully encase the bottom?

Is there any SEO (Search Engine Optimizer/-ing) based applications that run natively on OS X? Just curious. I've looked up Macupdate and Versiontracker. I'm looking specifically for tracking purposes, not optimizing meta tags or any of the sort.

I have an HP Printer 1300 Series All-In-One Printer (Copier, Scanner, Multimedia Reader and Printer of course). For some annoying reason, the printer icon shows up on the dock after removing it when my machine either wakes up from Sleep or Restarting the computer. Does any one know how to fix...

For some reason, everytime I turn on and boot up my PowerBook, a network boot icon shows up and is blinking. I always have to hold the option key to boot-up and proceed. I've restarted and that's what happens still. Any ideas?

:( The unthinkable happened: lost the clear cap that covers the power adapter. Does anyone know where you can get those (after market or part number for it)? Those suckers should be color coded and attached to the adapter somehow. On the side note: that is the last time someone else uses...

Is there any way to upgrade the firmware for iMac DV w/o OS 9? I figured there should be a firmware upgrade via OS X. This iMac is running OS 10.2.3. Maybe I'll give it a shot by updating to the latest 10.2.8 and I should be able to install Panther, yeah?

What's the best way of getting rid of Safari completely? (Dragging the .app to trash and some files?) Everytime I go to a Flash site, I get a broken link Quicktime icon. I've tried re-installing Safari and the latest version of Flash Player and still no go. Please help if anyone can.

It would've been a lot convenient if the iPod mini came out before the 14th. It may be too early of a release from Macworld but it would've heck made a lot of sales for Valentines. I'm a sales rep at a local Mac store/repair shop and I have people tell me that all the time.

Just like the subject... where are the Powerbook vid demos? I notice they didn't make one for the 15" one. It was probably not necessary but it would've been cool if they had one.

I'm looking at the specs of the PowerBook and I notice two things. AirPort Extreme Ready and AirPort Extreme built-in. Does that mean that the AirPort Extreme Ready does not have a wireless NIC in it? That might be a stupid question but I just want to make sure.

Just a general question: Would you buy your next Mac to an Apple Store or to some private mom and pop computer shop (like Crywolf)? I'd go w/ MacMall because you get some free cool stuff (rebates) but when I get a Mac, I just want to see it and take it home... As oppose to having to wait.
